Video: Kelly Clarkson Fires Her Guitarist During Performance

This is one of the most ballsy moves we've seen in some time!!!

A video of Kelly Clarkson firing former guitarist Dwayne Leary during a 2005 concert in Portland has surfaced - and it's MF amazing!

Leary makes a motion to the crowd that Clarkson doesn't like during a performance of "A Moment Like This" (at the 00:57 mark), and she proceeds to fire him (at the 1:22 mark). She even incorporates the incident into the lyrics!

"Tonight is Dwayne's last night cause he just got fired!" Clarkson sings, during the chorus.

Clarkson then addresses the incident in a speech to her fans (at the 2:48 mark), citing, "I'm gonna pray for you Dwayne cause you're gonna need it! You're gonna need it when I get off this stage! Cause nobody, nobody messes with my fans! Am I right?"

Love this girl!

Steven Tyler Checks Into Rehab; Denies Split From Aerosmith

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has checked into rehab for an addiction to prescription pills, according to a personal statement from the singer.

“With the help of my family and team of medical professionals I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford,” Tyler said.

Tyler also spoke to Rolling Stone to squash the many rumors circulating a split from Aerosmith, saying "I wish to set the record straight and say that I have read reports of a rumored two-year hiatus and want to be clear that this is completely false and I will enthusiastically be writing, recording and performing with Aerosmith as soon as things are handled."

We hope he gets well soon.

Angels & Airwaves have announced a special present for their fans - just in time for the holidays!

The band, fronted by Blink-182 guitarist Tom DeLonge, will be releasing their third studio album Love as a free download on Valentine's Day!

"It's like blending Radiohead and U2 together with these kind of Pink Floyd moments," DeLonge said, of the album.

Love will also be accompanied by a free film of the same name, which is "a story of human life and destiny but at the same time really makes usual moments of life extraordinary," DeLonge said.

Sex and the City 2 Trailer: "You Haven't Seen Anything Yet"

The first trailer for Sex and the City 2 has debuted with color and fashion and a world of promise, but it doesn't tell us much about the forthcoming flick, which will hit theatres on May 28.

In it, narrator Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) says: "It’s been two years, and in two years, amazing things can happen."

The trailer then shows snippets of a wedding (Stanford Blatch/Anthony Marantino?), the four girls on a Meditteranean vacation (this explains their filming in Morocco last month), and more of the same designer clothes, sick apartments, and brunch sessions we've seen for a decade.

It's all fun and frills, but where's the plot??

We weren't huge fans of the first Sex and the City film, but at least there was action!

In 2, it appears Samantha (Kim Cattrall) has moved back to the city (no surprise there), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) is happily still with Steve, and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) is still channeling Susie Homemaker, as she bakes cupcakes with her daughter. All while Alicia Keys/Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind" happily whistles in the background.

"You haven't seen anything yet," Parker tells us, closing out the trailer.

That's for sure!

According to reports, the U.S. Border Patrol found marijuana on two of Weezy's tour buses, but the rapper was not arrested.

Back in October, Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon during 2007. He will be sentenced for that charge in February.

Rihanna Debuts NSFW "Hard" Video

We knew Rihanna was nervy when we saw her NSFW MySpace show a couple weeks ago.

But RiRi's video for new single "Hard" makes that concert look PG-13!!

In "Hard," Rihanna plays some sort of army lieutenant - except it's the Jersey Shore Halloween version, because she's decked out in spikes, rolling around in mud, and at times covering her nipples with only a thin line of black tape!

Rated R, all right.

John Frusciante Quits Red Hot Chili Peppers

Guitarist John Frusciante has quit the Red Hot Chili Peppers, amid reports that the band is recording a follow-up to 2006’s Stadium Arcadium. Frusciante wrote a brief explanation on his MySpace page:
“When I quit the band, over a year ago, we were on an indefinite hiatus. There was no drama or anger involved, and the other guys were very understanding. They are supportive of my doing whatever makes me happy and that goes both ways.
To put it simply, my musical interests have led me in a different direction. Upon rejoining, and throughout my time in the band, I was very excited about exploring the musical possibilities inherent in a rock band, and doing so with those people in particular. A couple of years ago, I began to feel that same excitement again, but this time it was about making a different kind of music, alone, and being my own engineer.
I really love the band and what we did. I understand and value that my work with them means a lot to many people, but I have to follow my interests. For me, art has never been something done out of a sense of duty. It is something I do because it is really fun, exciting, and interesting. Over the last 12 years, I have changed, as a person and artist, to such a degree that to do further work along the lines I did with the band would be to go against my own nature. There was no choice involved in this decision. I simply have to be what I am, and have to do what I must do.
Sending love and gratitude to you all.”

Miley Channels Lady Gaga at Royal Variety Show

Miley Cyrus performed "Party in the USA" for the 8397439847th time during the Royal Variety Show for Queen Elizabeth II at Blackpool Opera House last Monday, but to keep things fresh, she changed part of the lyrics (and dance) to reflect Lady GaGa's "Bad Romance!"

Cute idea!

Is it us, or does Miley sound especially hoarse during the performance?

So naturally, we were stoked to hear that the boys' "Chapel" set in Sydney (Thursday night at the Paddington Uniting Church) was such a gorgeous, rocking affair.
