Boys Like Girls Tear Up NYC

"Man I miss playing New York City," says Boys Like Girls frontman Martin Johnson as the band gets onstage at Nokia Theatre Tuesday night.

And it would appear New York missed BLG back!

Hundreds of fans - many of whom started lining up around three a.m. - wrapped around the Times Square venue Tuesday, singing BLG tunes, sharing stories, and getting ready to see the band play with Cobra Starship, The Maine, A Rocket to the Moon and VersaEmerge.

"We just put this record out called Love Drunk," Johnson announced during the show, before rocketing into a slew of new and old hits: "Thunder," "Hero/Heroine," "Heart Heart Heartbreak," "Five Minutes to Midnight," "Shot Heard 'Round the World" and "Love Drunk," to name a few.

Of course we brought back a killer clip: BLG's balls-out opening number of Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling" transitioning into "Love Drunk."

Check out the madness, below.

  1. This show looks AWESOME!!!!!!!

All Boys Like Girls fans have to check out this new Baskin & Robbins commercial online that features their song; “Two is better than one.” It shows them hanging out at the ice cream shop. It is sooooo funny. The collaboration with Taylor Swift makes the song sound more diverse for all audiences.
