Eric Bana's First Love: His Ford GT Falcon Coupe
Australian actor Eric Bana stopped by the Apple Store SoHo Tuesday to talk shop about his directorial debut: an indie doc about his first love, a Ford GT Falcon coupe, appropriately titled Love the Beast."Everyone has a beast in their lives," Bana told guests during the one-hour Q&A. "Whether it's a car or a computer or going to the gym.... This was my chance to put my head on the chopping block."
Bana, who's starred in blockbusters such as Munich and Black Hawk Down, says he understands the effort needed to put a smaller film on the map. Especially when that map is the Tribeca Film Festival.
"I'm really thrilled and appreciative to be at Tribeca," Bana said. "I've acted in a lot of smaller films... (so) I know how lucky I am to be here."
The film, which features appearances by Dr. Phil and Jay Leno, premieres at Tribeca tonight, but check out an exclusive clip of Bana below, talking about a crash that totaled his Falcon and nearly cost him the movie. ("Tony and I went into a tree head-on at about 50 mph," he says.)

"We know so much about every actor on planet Earth. We know how they like to slice their avocado, what they named their baby. When I'm watching them save the world in a movie, I don't want to be thinking about their baby's name. I will now go on record to say I'm not going to even name my kid."-Ryan Reynolds tells New York Magazine

Linkin Park Penning Song for Transformers Movie
Linkin Park rapper Mike Shinoda has taken to his blog to announce Linkin Park's new song for the upcoming Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen movie.Writes Shinoda:
We can't wait either!BREAKING NEWS: Linkin Park will be working on the score for Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen.
Although I wasn't at liberty to say it before, the song I've been referencing here on mikeshinoda.com in the past few weeks...is actually being done for Michael Bay's new Transformers film, due out June 24th.
In addition--and probably ever cooler--we have been offered the unique opportunity to help score the film. The song we wrote is being used as one of the themes, and we will be writing various interpolations on that theme, and trying out some other thematic ideas as part of the (very large) team scoring the film.
My bandmates and I are working with award-winning film composer (and resident ass-kicker) Hans Zimmer. We met with Hans last week, and heard some of the incredible things he and his guys have done with our new song. In the next few days, we'll be doing some work with Hans' amazing writing and recording crew.
Michael Bay has shown us select scenes from the film, and it looks incredible. I can't wait for you to see it.

Creed Back in Business
In the wake of Green Day, Blink-182 and Korn's revival, 90s rockers Creed are also getting back to business!Just don't call it a comeback.
“I wouldn’t call it a reunion,” says frontman Scott Stapp. “It’s a renewing and a rebirth. I missed my boys and wanted to create music with them again. We’re all thrilled to have a second chance to make a first impression.”
Creed split nearly five years ago, after Stapp battled an addiction to drugs and faced a slew of legal troubles. But now the boys are planning a big return, one that comes with a new record and headlining tour.
"The goal is get release the first single before the tour and have the album come out during the tour or right after,” Stapp says.
"This band is my first love and a first love that’s stood the test of time. It’s not hard to step away from any kind of personal agenda when you are totally fulfilled.”
