Little J Takes the Stage

Remember Taylor Momsen's band, Pretty Reckless, that we told you was going on tour with the Veronicas???

Well, it seems T-Moms wanted to get some practice before she hit the road!!!

Pretty Reckless played their first ever show in NYC Tuesday night at the Annex, and all in all, judging by this vid, it wasn't bad!!!

Momsen's dance moves definitely leave something to be desired, but her voice is kind of grungy and rockin'!

Reminds us slightly of Iraheta.

Sigh.

Kiefer Sutherland to Face Assault Charges

24 star Kiefer Sutherland will likely turn himself in and face a third degree assault charge today, following a bizarre and inexplicable head-butting incident with designer Jack McCollough early Tuesday morning.

Several sources are claiming the hit was so strong, Sutherland broke McCollough's nose.

"All we can say at this point is that [McCoullough] was the victim of a vicious, violent, unprovoked assault," McCollough's rep says.

"The matter is in the hands of the authorities."

Green Day Announce Secret NYC Gig

Green Day have just announced a secret show at New York's Webster Hall May 19, in conjunction with MySpace Music.

The List concert series will hook up 300 of Green Day's biggest fans with tickets to the show, which takes place just a few days after their latest release 21st Century Breakdown hits stores May 15.

Here's the group to join for tickets!

Quote of the Day

"[George Clooney] is sarcastic, and he has a different girlfriend constantly. It's considered charismatic. He's like this James Bond, sexy dude. The older he gets, the better he gets. It's a double standard. To be outspoken, or different at all, is a problem for women. As soon as you curse or, God forbid, make some sort of sexual reference that's a joke, you're [labeled a party girl]. They don't do that with men, so I feel it would be a lot easier."

-Megan Fox says, about the Cloonster

Who the F is this?

Her name is Natalia Rodríguez Gallego.

Natalia, 26, is the pop princess of Spain, having released big-time hits like "I'm Not an Angel," "Kiss My Skin," and "I Love This Game."

She's their Britney, ya'll!

Here is Natalia at The Sexy Room Experience party Tuesday night in Madrid.

Besitos, N!

Allison Iraheta Eliminated on American Idol

It was a sad night on American Idol Wednesday, as 17-year old rocker and vocal powerhouse Allison Iraheta was eliminated during the Slash-mentored Rock Week.

Probably the saddest part was that Danny Gokey survived another week after the embarrassment that was his Aerosmith "Dream On" performance the night before!

Bottom three: Danny Gokey, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert.

Is there even a contest at this point???

New York Dolls Return to Their Roots

“This is beyond my wildest dreams,” New York Dolls frontman David Johansen said, as the Dolls took the stage at 315 Bowery (former home of CBGB and new home to designer John Varvatos) Tuesday night around 9:45.

It's been 38 years, but the man's still still got it. The 59-year old ripped through over a dozen jams with ease, rage, and (so what?) a little help from his lyrics sheets. The performance was in honor of the band's newest release (Cause I Sez So, out yesterday), but the boys managed to pepper some rocking classics ("Trash," "Stranded in the Jungle") through the predominantly new set.

Varvatos, a long-time rock supporter and Dolls fan, opted to sync the performance with a live broadcast to his new Sirius Radio rock 'n' roll show, which also launched Tuesday.

Also supporting the boys in attendance were rock fanatic Rachael Ray, Semi-Precious Weapons frontman Justin Tranter, America's Next Top Model winner CariDee English, handbag designer Jack Germain, and famed rock photographer Bob Gruen, who shot a Dolls documentary in the early '70s.

Said Gruen:

"Life goes on and things change, but David’s the best entertainer around and the band is one of the best out there. I don’t live in the past, and I don’t think the Dolls do either.”

Quote of the Night

"On the show as well were Third Eye Blind and Kelly Clarkson... I thought that had to be the oddest pairing ever, but soon realized it's what I've always professed. There's NO such thing as Black music or White music only Good or Bad music."

-Jay-Z blogs, following a University of Arizona performance

Actress Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), along with director Donald Petrie (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days), hit the Apple Store SoHo Friday to chat with fans about their latest flick, My Life in Ruins.

The romantic comedy features Vardalos as a disgruntled bus tour guide in Greece who gets her groove back after traveling with a busload of tourists led by powerhouse Richard Dreyfuss.

"It was a dream come true to shoot in Greece," Vardalos says, of filming. "It was surreal on the set, to stand by the Acropolis, close my eyes before they say 'Action' and feel the wind blowing through the columns. It doesn't get any better."

My Life was the last movie to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival Saturday night, but is first on our list of must-sees!!
