U2 Helps Island Records Celebrate the Big 50
Island Records recruited Baaba Maal and U2 for a surprise performance at their 50th Anniversary party in London Thursday! Not bad!!
The duo performed a cover of Bob Marley's "One Love," as well as U2's "One," before Cat Stevens hit the stage for a set of his own.
U2 signed with Island Records in 1980 after being notoriously turned down by other labels. Singer Bono often speaks out about his gratitude that Island took them on.
Best investment ever!!!!

Estelle Rocks the MoMA
Pitbull Socks Fan
A video of rapper Pitbull punching a fan in the face has surfaced the web!!!
Apparently, Pitbull got pissed when a fan threw dollar bills at him during an April 30 performance in Aspen, Colorado, so the rapper pulled the fan up to the stage, let him dance around for a second, then proceeded to sucker-punch him!
Nuts!!!
Even more nuts is that police were not called to the scene, the fan didn't file any complaints, and the concert went on as if nothing happened!
Check out the craziness above (around 00:53).
Quote of the Day
"Track two is called "Pretty as a Swastika." It's something I said to a girl because of her complexion - with black hair, red lips and pale skin. I mean, it was a complex and poetic comment that soon led to intercourse, so I felt no reason for it to be seen as confusing, hateful and destructive. The record label [told me], Take it off the album. Rather than do so, I decided to produce it on the inside of the sleeve with a different name, so it'll be sold in Wal-Mart or wherever stores sell guns but are afraid to deal with lyrics. So I put "Pretty as a ($)" because all of their motivations are based on money."-Marilyn Manson tells Time

Kris and Adam Hit New York
"We're such different artists that there's no way to compete directly," said Lambert, who showed up in snakeskin shoes and a full face of makeup.
In regards to the AT&T scandal, the soft-spoken Arkansas native Allen brushed it off.
"I didn't call up AT&T and say hey, I need some more votes," he laughed. "You're always going to get some [criticism]."
"I rolled my eyes when I heard about that," Lambert added.
Check out Allen's performance below, a fierce acoustic cover of Kanye West's "Heartless," while Lambert rocks out stage-right.
