Katy Perry Bounces Through "Waking Up in Vegas" at Today Show Concert

"Can I say bitch?" asks Katy Perry. It's not quite nine in the morning, and the pop starlet is at soundcheck for her first Today Show performance of the day: triple platinum hit "Hot N Cold."

The line at question? "You PMS like a bitch/I would know." (She later opts to scream it into the mic during the live performance.)

Perry bounced her way through all of her hits in a one-sleeved, sequined red dress with various dice Friday morning, including breakthrough jam "I Kissed a Girl," "Hot N Cold," "Thinking of You" and the outfit-coordinated "Waking Up in Vegas."

"Everyday is Halloween for me," she later explained to Matt Lauer, of her outfit choice.

Check out a sample of her newest single, "Waking Up in Vegas," above.

Meet Jessie James

The other day we told you about the poptastic concert we went to from Jonas Brothers' opening act Honor Society.

Well, we also wanted to alert you to Honor Society's opening act - a lil lady named Jessie James!

James is a 21 year-old Georgia gal with twangy, soprano pipes and a pension for songs about high heels and heartbreak.

Kind of like if Carrie Underwood met Kelly Clarkson!

We really liked JJ's music, but wish she had a little more confidence and played with her hair a LOT less.

Thoughts???

Questlove Spins at NYC Club

It's not every day you walk into a club and find The Roots drummer Questlove at the DJ booth.

So you can imagine our excitement when we saw him at New York hotspot Kiss and Fly Wednesday night!

Questlove DJed rare jams until the wee hours of the morning - spinning everything from Cam'ron to Ray Charles to Maroon5.

He completely surpassed the unexpected!!

Making the night possible were Bloc Group marketing guru Matthew Isaacs, 22 Events impresario Madi Lager and DJ Dimitry.

Great night, all!

Honor Society Sell Out Gramercy Theatre

There's no better gig for an up-and-coming pop band than opening for the Jonas Brothers on their world tour. And now that New Jersey-based Honor Society have done that, they're ready to headline!!

Last night was Honor Society's first sold-out show on their Full Crazy Moon Tour (which alternates with JB's World Tour) at New York's Gramercy Theatre. Sold out - and they have yet to release their first record!!

HS played nearly an hour of jams, including hit single "See You in the Dark," croony "Where Are You Now" and infectious "Here Comes Trouble."

They're kind of like New Kids on the Block with guitars!!

"They're more accessible than the Jonas Brothers," a twenty-something in the front row tells Poison Ivy, as a reason why she started liking them more than JB. (Mind you, the said twenty-year-old drove from Virginia to see them after also catching their July 13 show in D.C.)

If you haven't already, visit Honor Society's MySpace here, and click above to check out a snippet of their poptastic jam "Nobody Has to Know."

Dave Brubeck Does SoHo

It's a great night to be a New Yorker!!!

Especially when Jazz great Dave Brubeck visits the Apple Store SoHo for a free performance!

Brubeck, 88, and his quartet, performed four songs in honor of the 50th anniversary of his 1959 record Time Out, and even did a Q&A with the audience about what it was like to travel to foreign countries in search of "new sounds."

So cool!

New Default Alert

How can someone look so flawless while they run?

Rachel McAdams earned herself the default of the week while filming Morning Glory (alongside Diane Keaton and Harrison Ford) in New York's Bryant Park Monday.

If we think she looks good here, we can't even imagine how great she'll look in the movie!!
