Matisyahu Jams with Kenneth Cole for Fashion Week

"You're about to meet my favorite Orthodox Jewish reggae rapper," said Kenneth Cole.

Cole was hosting an event at his Rockefeller Plaza store in NYC Thursday night - along with special guest Matisyahu - as part of Fashion's Night Out, a city-wide initiative aimed at boosting retail sales and connecting designers with their shoppers.

"You owe it to your country to shop tonight," Cole will later remind the audience.

Matisyahu was too doing his part - treating shoppers to a powerful 45-minute set, including songs like "Jerusalem," "I Will Be Light," and new hit "One Day."

Hundreds of fans - both religious and non - swayed to the music and sung along, while others were a little more shocked at the rare opportunity of an intimate performance.

"I love your peyes!" shouted a boy in the front row.

Check out a clip of the soulful performance, below.

Jay-Z Rocks Hits at Secret NYC Show

With less than 24 hours notice, Jay-Z stormed New York's Blender Theater Wednesday night to play a secret MySpace show to some 600 lucky fans!

And Poison Ivy felt especially lucky - we were placed right in the front row!

“You all ready for that Blueprint 3?" Jay asked, though most fans probably heard the album when it leaked online last week.

“I just figured that’s the best way to silence all the critics: just keep hitting with joints like this,” Jay said, before diving into “Venus vs. Mars,” a Timberland-produced track off the new record.

Jay played tons of hits over the hour and a half-long set, including "99 Problems," "Big Pimpin," "Can I Get A...," and "I Know," of which we've posted a clip below!

Thanks for the memories, Jay!!

Quote of the Day

"The plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills all have secret celebrity doors. After the surgery, you leave the plastic surgeon's office covered in a sheet that's not unlike a burqa. Your assistant takes you to an upscale hotel where you hide in a dark room of shame until you're better. There are bandaged rich ladies walking around the hallways of the Four Seasons and the Peninsula in Beverly Hills right now. It's not unlike being a war criminal or a terrorist."
