American Idol season five runner-up Katharine McPhee and R&B singer Jay Sean showed no shame while lip-synching through singles "Have It All" and "Down" (respectively) Thursday morning at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

On the other hand, we give thanks to Ziggy Marley, Andrea Bocelli, Boys Like Girls, The Roots and Gloria Gaynor for taking the high road and actually performing!!!

Lady GaGa visited our favorite talk show host Ellen DeGeneres Friday to talk fashion, perform "Bad Romance" and "Speechless," and discuss being a freak in high school.

"I didn't fit in in high school, and I felt like a freak," GaGa said. "So I like to create this atmosphere for my fans, where they feel like they have a freak in me to hang out with, and they don't feel alone."

"In high school you feel discriminated against," GaGa went on. "And you want to be like everyone else, but not really. On the inside, you really want to be like Boy George! Well I did, anyway."

I spy in NY...

Tiger Woods has been injured in a car accident that took place outside of his Florida home early Friday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Woods was pulling out of his driveway in a 2009 Cadillac around 2:25 A.M. Friday when he struck a fire hydrant, then drove into a tree on his neighbor's property.

Update: Woods' manager reports that the pro golfer is "fine" after an overnight hospital visit at Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, and FHP is reporting that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

We could have spent a week at Tim Burton's new exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art.

Especially since it was the site where we ran into our favorite singer-songwriter and David Letterman rock god John Mayer!

Mayer told Poison Ivy that he sincerely enjoyed the exhibit, and asked if we'd be blogging about his appearance there.

"Can you tell everyone that I'm a captivating guy?" he joked. "Also, taller in person."

Yes, Mayer was both tall and captivating, but before anything, a nice dude!!

We were relieved - we'd heard otherwise - and still have been worshiping his music, especially latest record Battle Studies.

The Burton exhibit was everything we hoped for and more.

Burton original paintings (like "Blue Girl With Wine," pictured above) hung on the walls next to hand-drawn sketches of Edward Scissorhands and collectibles from Burton's flicks.

Items included everything from the metal razors from Sweeney Todd to the Catwoman suit from Batman Returns to the headless horseman cape from Sleepy Hollow!

And of course, the room was filled with bizarre pieces like "funhouse panels," handwritten poems with figurines, and Burton's signature black and white swirls.

The exhibit will be available until April 26, 2010, so be sure to check it out!

Poison Ivy was honored to be a part of what Bon Jovi is calling "the biggest crowd [the Today Show] has ever had in the Plaza!"

Bon Jovi visited NBC's Today Show early Wednesday morning to perform four songs for the die-hard crowd, many of whom waited overnight in the cold: "You Give Love a Bad Name," "Wanted Dead or Alive," "Work for the Working Man," and new single "Superman Tonight."

It's two hours before Arizona-based rockers The Maine will be on stage at New York's Nokia Theatre Tuesday night, and guitarist Garrett Nickelsen and drummer Pat Kirch are standing in front of Junior's Times Square talking about the band's forthcoming record.

"We have like 30 songs," Kirch says, adding that the band is "going to take our time with this one."

The Maine say they expect to start recording sometime in early 2010, and have no doubt that the sound will be their own.

"It'll be metal!" Nickelsen jokes, before transitioning into a more serious topic: the now-infamous "arrest" of singer John O'Callaghan.

"He wasn't actually arrested," says Kirch, clearing up the YouTube controversy.

"John was signing [autographs] in the street with a bunch of kids around him, and the cop got an ego trip and threw him against the tree and put him in handcuffs. They let him go like five minutes later," Kirch explains.

"People with cameras made it look more fierce than it actually was," Nickelsen adds.

"As [John] says, he was 'cuffed, not booked'."

But the band maintains they're not too worried about what people tell them to do. Just look back to their appearance on MTV's My Super Sweet 16 last year.

"MTV was trying to get a juicy story out of us," Kirch says. "They were like trying to get us to say stuff that wasn't true, but we weren't doing that. I was bummed when I watched the show cause they like made it sound like [the 16-year old] was this bitch."

"The girl was super nice," Nickelsen adds. "Instead of getting a present, she gave $25,000 to a charity. MTV didn't show that."

Poison Ivy went to New York's Rockefeller Center Tuesday morning to watch the 12-time Grammy Award-winning artist wake up Manhattan with a breathtaking three-song song set, including "No One," new single "Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart," and (what else?) "Empire State of Mind."

"We're in a perfect city," Keys told the audience, before playing a mellow, Jay-Z-less rendition of the tune.

It wasn't the best performance of the night (that spot is reserved Lady GaGa's glass-shattering rendition of "Bad Romance" and "Speechless,") but it will certainly be the most talked about!

Adam Lambert hit the stage at the American Music Awards Sunday night for an energetic, borderline sex-show version of latest single "For Your Entertainment" that included shoving a male dancer's face into his crotch, dragging a female dancer around the stage by her shoe, and making out with a male keyboard player.

"Female performers have been doing this for years — pushing the envelope about sexuality — and the minute a man does it, everybody freaks out," Lambert later said, perhaps referencing Madonna and Britney Spears' liplock back in 2003.

"We're in 2009 — it's time to take risks, be a little more brave, time to open people's eyes and if it offends them, then maybe I'm not for them," he adds. "My goal was not to piss people off, it was to promote freedom of expression and artistic freedom."

We totally agree with Lambert about the double-standard, but he should also keep in mind that those performances are generally reserved for MTV! (ABC seemed to take note of this, editing certain thrusts out of their West coast broadcast.)

With the exception of GaGa and Lamby, most of the night's performances were a snooze - Daughtry strummed through the motions during "Life After You," Janet Jackson's lipsync-ed her way through her opening montage, and Jay-Z and Alicia Keys performed "Empire State of Mind" for the 548823th time.

Shakira was decent - performing new single "Give It Up To Me" with the help of a step team, and Whitney Houston's first live TV performance in five years ("I Didn’t Know My Own Strength") was fine...

Scooping up notable awards were Jay-Z for Best Rap/Hip-Hop Male ("Men lie, women lie, numbers don't," the emcee laughed, during his acceptance speech), Michael Jackson (two awards, accepted by brother Jermaine), and Taylor Swift's three trophies via London satellite, including Artist of the Year.

It's a sexy night to be a New Yorker!!

Supermodel Heidi Klum, who gave birth to her fourth child last month, unexpectedly walked down the runway at the Victoria's Secret Runway Show Thursday night.

“I felt great the night of the fashion show and decided last minute to walk," Klum revealed, adding that, "I’m proud of being the curvy model on the Victoria’s Secret stage."

We agree!

She looked beautiful!!

Other models on the runway were Miranda Kerr and Doutzen Kroes, but our attention was kinda stuck on 20-year-old Erin Heatherton (middle photo). Gorgeous face, cool outfit, and completely healthy girl!!

Black Eyed Peas performed at the show as well, with Fergie emerging as a hot green mess (bottom photo).

We're not going to sugarcoat it.

New Moon was one of the most painfully unwatchable movies we've seen in some time. The terrible acting, beyond-absurdity of one-liners ("You're my only reason to stay alive... if that's what I am." LOL!) and pathetic neediness of protagonist Bella made us long for the hours we thought we lost during Couples Retreat.

But, alas, the biggest movie of the year premiered in New York. So who would we be to rob you (no pun intended), of photos?

27-year old New York City-based fashion designer Irina Shabayeva is the winner of Project Runway's season six, and we couldn't be happier!!

Shabayeva's Bryant Park show during the PR finale Thursday completely blew us away - everything from the chic fur hoody vest to the clawed-up black pants to her constant vision of New York City.

"I really want to build a lifestyle brand where it's not just about the clothes," Shabayeva says, of her forthcoming line. "It [will be] about the whole image and the attitude."
