Corinne Bailey Rae Showcases Dark Sea at Apple Store Performance

We've always been huge fans of Corinne Bailey Rae, so we were beyond excited to find out that she'd be playing a free show at the Apple store in Soho Tuesday, showcasing tracks off her latest record The Sea.

Rae paired new songs "The Blackest Lily" and "Closer" with older gems like "Like a Star," highlighting the night with a performance of new single "I'd Do It All Again" and a dark, powerful track called "Paper Dolls."

"This song is about all of the bad girls I was friends with at school," Rae said, in one of her few banters with the crowd.

The unexpected death of Rae's husband in 2008 encompassed much of the subject matter of The Sea - with Rae's grief running transparent on a song called "Diving for Hearts."

"I long to keep on diving/Til my heart is found," Rae hauntingly sings. "It's got a hold on me/Can't forget the things I've seen."

Check out a clip of Rae's performance of "I'd Do It All Again," below.
