Betsey Johnson Rocks "Gloria" with Patti Smith at American Folk Art Museum Benefit

It's a great night to be a New Yorker!!

Patti Smith gave an earth-shattering performance at the American Folk Art Museum benefit at Espace Friday night, which celebrated the work of writer/artist Henry Darger.

"Everyone tonight is a volunteer and we're so very grateful," Smith said, before playing a powerful set that featured daughter Jesse Smith on piano, and included songs "Redondo Beach," "My Blakean Year," "We Three," "Because the Night," and a special version of "Gloria" that featured a cameo by designer Betsey Johnson!

Check out the hilarity when Betsey joins in for a dance - and back-up vocal - above (at the 00:21 mark).
