Motion City Soundtrack Rock Classics, Confess Stealing Lyric at Ft. Lauderdale Show

"It's about honesty tonight," Motion City Soundtrack singer Justin Pierre told the crowd at Ft. Lauderdale's Culture Room last Thursday.

"Every other night is about lies."

The frontman just confessed to the several hundred fans in the audience that he stole a line from the 1994 movie The Hudsucker Proxy for the song "@!#?@!," off of newest record My Dinosaur Life.

The line in question: "So don't think you know a thing about a thing you know nothing about."

Nobody in the audience seems to care about the steal, or even remotely recognize the 1994 Coen Brothers reference, but Pierre somehow seems validated.

He then leads the band - comprised of guitarist/backing vocalist Joshua Cain, bassist Matthew Taylor, drummer Tony Thaxton and keyboardist/Moog-er Jesse Johnson - into a dance-fueled performance of "Make-Out Kids," later belting out classics like "Attractive Today," "L.G. Fuad," "The Future Freaks Me Out," and "A Lifeless Ordinary."

Check out a video of that performance, below.
