The Script Paint The Today Show Green

The Script may not be the most recognizable band name on The Today Show's summer roster (that spot would be reserved for Sting), but the Irish-born rockers managed to bring some of the most distinct fans to Rockefeller Plaza Friday morning - a beret of green-shirted teens in tears.

"It looks like St. Patrick's Day out here," singer Danny O'Donoghue commented, before rocketing into the band's platinum-selling hit "Breakeven."

O'Donoghue & Co. treated the crowd to two other fantastic songs: a track called "The Man Who Can't Be Moved," and an admirable cover of David Bowie's "Heroes."

"To be so far from home and have you sing along with our songs truly makes the hair on the back of our necks stand up," O'Donoghue admitted, before rushing into the crowd and planting a kiss on a hysterical unsuspecting fan (second photo).
