Kanye West, John Legend Play Secret Black-Tie Show
It's a great night to be a New Yorker!
Especially a New Yorker who received a late-night email Thursday to show up at Kanye West, John Legend and Estelle's surprise black-tie show!
West rocked The Box on New York's Lower East Side for some 200 fans Thursday, performing classics like "Homecoming," "Heard 'Em Say," and "Run This Town," with Legend subbing in for Rihanna on vocals. Estelle later came to the stage to perform international hit "American Boy."
Only in New York, kids!

Secondhand Serenade Get Mugged in Boston, Perform in New York Anyway
"As you can see, I have a couple of black eyes," Secondhand Serenade's John Vesely told the crowd at New York's Gramercy Theatre Tuesday night.
"We got jumped in Boston... so don't mind my rockstar-wannabe-sunglass look tonight," he added, lightening the mood.
Black eyes and missing gear aside, SS played a lively, largely optimistic show in New York Tuesday night (check out their fantastic performance of "Stay Away," above, and "Maybe," here).
Vesely took to his Twitter following the mugging to let his fans know what was on his mind.
"To the goons who jumped us after and stole our stuff... karma's a bitch," Vesely Tweeted.
