Tony Lucca Talks Mickey Mouse Club, New Tour, and Being the Face of 901 Tequila

You may remember Tony Lucca as a bubbly cast member on The Mickey Mouse Club in the early nineties, but the singer-songwriter has come a long way since then.

Lucca, now 34, has spent the last decade touring the world with his gorgeous, heart-wrenching, soulful music, and working as an actor to boot. Lucca's tunes have soundtracked a plethora of shows; everything from Friday Night Lights to Brothers and Sisters.

Poison Ivy sat down with the musician before his show with Matt Duke and Jay Nash at Rockwood Music Hall last week to talk about the trio's tour, why he decided to not follow the same formula as other Mouseketeers, and how he ended up being the face of Justin Timberlake's new Tequila 901 Silver Tequila.

Check out our chat above, and keep in mind that it was taped during rush hour traffic in NY's Lower East Side!

Enjoy!

Bob Dylan Rocks Three Night Stand at Terminal 5

It's a great week to be a New Yorker!

Bob Dylan rocked a three-night stand at New York's Terminal 5 Monday, playing a solid repertoire of tunes like "Cold Irons Bound," "Tangled Up in Blue," "Shooting Star, "Like a Rolling Stone," and rarity "Gonna Change My Way of Thinking."

Sporting a long black jacket and white bolero hat during Monday's show, Dylan was decidedly upbeat: offering toothy smiles and even dancing as he alternated between organ and electric guitar.

Check out Dylan's rendition of "Gonna Change My Way of Thinking," above.

Kanye West, Matt Lauer Make Up at Thanksgiving Day Parade

We're glad these two kissed and made up!

Kanye West performed new track "Lost in the World" Thursday atop the New York Daily News float at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, introduced by his favorite Today Show host Matt Lauer.

The pair infamously had a fistfight disagreement during an interview earlier this month, and West subsequently canceled a Today Show performance.

"I'm not performing on the Today Show for obvious reasons," West Tweeted at the time.

"I blatantly said I'm not performing on a tweet and to everyone around me and the next day they still announced a performance."

Check out the performance West did agree to, above.

Kanye Plays Full Album, Rants About Taylor Swift at Secret Bowery Show

Rap icon Kanye West treated a lucky 500 fans to a surprise concert at New York's Bowery Ballroom Tuesday night, performing his new album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy in its entirety.

Nicki Minaj joined the West for a raging rendition of "Monster," while folks like Spike Lee, Ivanka Trump, Diddy, The Roots drummer Questlove and Aziz Ansari looked on.

The ever-controversial West couldn't play a show without inserting a rant, though. Tuesday night's target? Taylor Swift.

"Taylor never came to my defense in any interview," West said.

"[She] rode the wave, and rode it and rode it!"

Ha!

Questlove later congratulated West on the show via Twitter, writing "5 star night. Whole album executed nice... Kanye killed tonight."

Avery Performs Unreleased Tracks in Orlando

Pop singer (and iTunes darling) Avery rocked an outstanding show at Orlando’s BackBooth last Wednesday!

The Phoenix native kept the audience on their feet with her huge voice and enthusiastic personality, performing unreleased tracks like "Good Times," "Romeo," and "Kisses From You."

The crowd went nuts when Avery sang her hit song "Love Me or Let Me Go," announcing that the track would be available for purchase on iTunes Monday - coincidentally the 16-year-old's birthday!

Next on Avery's agenda?

A road trip to Alabama to perform with Hannah Montana star Emily Osment.

Can't wait!

It's a great morning to be a Thanksgiving tourist New Yorker!

Kings of Leon dropped by the Today Show for a pre-Thanksgiving concert in Rockefeller Plaza early Wednesday, playing tracks off their new record Come Around Sundown ("Radioactive," "The End") and chatting about the city.

"Coming to the city, New York, space is a lot smaller so there's not a lot of room to get distracted from making the record," the boys said.

"New York is just get in there, get your job done, and get out."

Lady Gaga, New York Restauranteur

We love this spot!

Lady Gaga has reportedly invested in a garden-set Italian eatery on the Upper West Side, Vince and Eddie's.

"They were customers, and they approached us," said owner Peter Dee. "We have done some promotions with her in the past."

By "they," Dee means Gaga and her parents, who have also become partners at the restaurant.

"When she's in town, she likes to come here with her friends, because it's very homey and private," Gag'z mom told W magazine.

Alexandra Richards Talks Animal Rights at Cool Vs. Cruel Awards

Poison Ivy caught up with Alexandra Richards at the Cool Vs. Cruel Awards Ceremony at the Bowery Hotel Tuesday, to chat with the DJ about the anti-fur initiative sponsored by The Humane Society and The Art Institutes.

"When my sister and I were nine, we started a pretend society called the Animal Protection Society," Richards said, of her long-time loyalty to animal rights.

"I grew up in the country so I saw a lot of dead deer," Richards added.

"APS was saving rodents off the street in Connecticut."

That's commitment!

Also championing animal rights at the party were Devendra Banhart, Ally Hilfiger, Cory Kennedy, DJs matt+maia, Charlotte Ronson, Ann Dexter Jones and Fabrizio Moretti.

Jimmy Fallon, Brian Williams Help Raise $2.8 Million at Ad Council Dinner

Jimmy Fallon and Brian Williams helped raise over $2.8 million at the Advertising Council's annual dinner celebrating public service at the Waldorf Astoria Wednesday night!

The co-emcees spent the evening bantering, honoring the year's best PSAs, and roasting their future boss: chairman and CEO of Comcast Brian L. Roberts.

"I just hope he’s here, to be honest," Fallon quipped.

"He comes from a cable company, and he said that he could be here anywhere between five and 10 o'clock. I can’t wait around for this guy."

Fallon opted to begin the evening with a hilarious performance of "Balls in Your Mouth," a song about the oil spill that was popularized on Late Night earlier this year.

(Sample lyric: "The oil spill, by BP/has left tar balls, all over the sea. So don't go swimming, down in the south/unless you want, tar balls in your mouth.")

We were dying!!
